Website Development – Moving From A Broken WordPress Theme To A World-Class, Easy To Use CMS
This website development was undertaken for Megara, an environmentally-friendly packaging design and production juggernaut.
Megara had an existing website running on the WordPress CMS. The website had broken elements on the back-end, as well as lovelessly placed front-end elements, resulting in a website which simply didn’t do the company justice. CX principles needed to be applied in order to produce a website that was easy to use for the visitor and easy to manage for Megara.
My predominant role in this job was to take the existing website’s design and use it as a template to replicate the site within a more advanced WordPress theme, ensuring ease of back-end management. In addition to replicating the existing site, a large number of new elements were added, such as a mobile responsiveness, a filterable portfolio section, video, automated newsletter subscribe functionality, and much more.
