Privacy, in plain English.

This site collects very little, and nothing without a reason. Here is what, why and how to have it removed.

Who I am

Digital Freelancer is the trading name of Philipp Enders, 143 North Steyne, Manly NSW 2095, Australia. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Questions go to philipp@digitalfreelancer.net.au.

What I collect

When you contact me. The contact form sends your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message to my mailbox. I use it to reply to you and for nothing else. It stays in my email until the conversation is over, or longer if we end up working together.

When you visit. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. I do not combine these with anything else.

Analytics, only if you say yes. If a cookie banner appears and you allow analytics, Google Analytics records anonymised page views so I can see which pages are useful. Your IP address is anonymised, no advertising features are enabled, and nothing loads until you agree. Decline and no analytics cookie is ever set. You can change your mind from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Cookies

Without analytics consent this site sets no cookies at all. With consent, it sets one first-party cookie (df-consent) to remember your choice for a year, and Google Analytics sets its own (_ga and similar). That is the full list.

Third parties

Fonts, images and scripts are served from this domain. The only third party involved is Google Analytics, and only after you consent. I never sell or share your details.

Your rights

Ask me what I hold about you and I will tell you. Ask me to delete it and I will. Email philipp@digitalfreelancer.net.au. If you are unhappy with my answer you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
